To become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), one must first receive a Bachelor’s Degree, have a current license as a registered nurse (RN), at least one year’s experience in an acute care nursing setting, and then graduate from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia. CRNA’s undergo a national certification exam from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). All Valley Anesthesia CRNAs are certified by the AANA. To learn more about CRNAs, visit the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist web site.
